Of book prizes and flamingos ...

A few weeks ago The National Book Council announced the winners of the Terramaxka Prize 2016. This is the national prize for books written for children and adolescents throughout 2015. The winners were announced on Tuesday 7th November during the official opening of the Malta Book Festival. The Festival was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta. Clare Azzopardi's award-winning picture book Mingu was read to school children during in a series of activities organised for them.

Mingu published by Merlin Publishers Limited also won the award for the BEST BOOK PRODUCTION.
